How to Root & install Google PLAY Store in Nokia X Android Phone

Android is android and for all those who wanted to install the Google Apps Package and root the all new Nokia X Android Smartphone can now do the same. While Nokia unveiled 3 new android Smartphones which were Nokia X, Nokia X+ and Nokia XL in the recent Mobile World Congress event. The rooting has been achieved for Nokia X android device which will allow users to side load the Google PLAY Store and also other android apps like Google Now launchers etc. So after checking out the detailed list of quick pre requisites, you can now proceed on to check on what are the instructions with which you can apply the update.

Quick Pre Requisites:

·         Don’t use any PC tools for backing all the data present in your Nokia X Android Smartphone.
SMS – Currently there is no automated way to backup SMS
Contacts – Sync with the Outlook application,
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”

·         Enable the USB Debugging Mode in your computer from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. Also, the minimum battery life should be a minimum of 40% or else there is a risk of device getting Turned Off in the middle of firmware update.

·         For applying this custom ROM firmware, you need to make sure that your Note 3 is rooted. To check whether your Galaxy Note 3 Android phone is rooted or not, you will have to check the same from Root Checker app.

Procedure to Root Nokia X Android Phone:-

  • Download the Rooting APK, Google Apps APKs in your computer and place the same in your Nokia X Android phone. After downloading the zip package, all you need to do is to unzip to get the APKs.
  • Connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable and place the APKs in your device.
  • With the help of file manager app, head over to the placed APK and tap on the same to follow on screen instructions and root your Nokia X android Smartphone.

  • Up next, head over to the Google Apps APKs which you have placed in the device to /system/app and change permissions for this files in the device.
  • Up next, you need to install the Google Apps Package which you have earlier placed in the device.
  • Now, all you need to do is to just open the Google Play Store app in your Nokia X android phone after which it will ask you to add your Google Account.

Predator – A Software to Lock Your PC with a USB Flash Drive

We can use Pendrive, Memory Card, or any other USB device to lock our Computer. This is possible by using free software called Predator. Predator, a tiny Windows application which makes our USB Flash Drive more effective and interesting. Using Predator and our USB flash drive we can lock our PC/Laptop. The PC will automatically be Locked down when we remove the flash drive. But the Windows session will still be running.

How does it Work:-
·       
  Predator locks the PC when we remove the USB Flash Drive. It will darken the screen and the Keyboard and the mouse will become inactive.
·        
When we return back, then we just insert our USB Flash Drive and the Computer will be automatically Unlocked.
·       
  If anyone tries to access the computer in the absence, then we can see their activity in the log file. We can set alarm so that it will sound the noise if anyone tries to access the computer when it is locked.
·        
Predator uses the USB Flash Drive as an Access Control Device. It does not perform any type of modification in the existing data in the Flash Drive.
·        
Predator changes the Security codes record in your Flash Drive frequently. If any intruder copies the USB stick it will not work because in the same time the code of our own stick will change itself automatically.
·        
The Task Manager is disabled by Predator when we remove our USB Flash Drive. So that anyone cannot terminate any process in our Windows by Pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del or Ctrl+Shift+Esc.
·         
If we have lost our USB Flash Drive then we can unlock the PC by the Password we have set in the time of starting the software first time.
·         
If we want to replicate the logs with our Twitter account, then you have to allow on the PC to remotely monitor all access-control activity.

Install Cortana In Asha Phones (Bing bookmark app)

Microsoft has started providing updates for its windows phone users worldwide with the update to 8.1. the most awaited feature was Cortana, a personal digital assistant just like Apple’s Siri and Google Now in Android. Cortana uses bing as its search engine and it replaces the bing app in Windows phone 8.1. Read more about Cortana here.

 

Nokia Asha smartphones (or feature phones) runs on a new Nokia Asha OS, an updated version of Nokia’s S40 platform. As it is a feature phone,and has just 64MB ram, it is impossible to use voice assistants like Cortana or Siri as they wont perform like they do in iOS and Windows Phone 8.1.

 

I have created an app that runs on almost all Nokia S40 phones, especially Asha 501. This is a simple app that opens the bing search page in the phone’s default browser(Nokia Browser) as Cortana is powered by Bing. This app can be used to search in Bing.com, nothing much. But, yeah, its really nice to see a Cortana logo in your home screen. Whoever takes your phone will surely be amazed to see A Cortana logo in the phone.

CloudGOO, This is what we call cloud storage

CloudGOO, a newly launched Android application offers a way for you to smush together all your cloud-based file storage accounts to form one big cloud drive in the sky. That is, the app aggregates your cloud drive accounts into one mobile interface, then uses that space as if it were one drive for things like automatic uploads of photos, videos, music, and documents.
The service is launched by Berlin-based developer Jared Preston, who previously spent a few years in Seattle working for Microsoft on the Windows Live platform.
He explains that unlike other platforms, such as Jolicloud for example, which attempted to aggregate a user’s web services under one roof, the idea with CloudGOO is not to have you navigate between your drives or media spaces using the app. Instead, he says, “you simply access and use your stuff, no matter where it is stored.”
“Theoretically, you could just sign in as many Google Drives, Dropbox, etc., as you wanted, to create a total space available for you to use. CloudGOO can then be set to ‘automatic upload’ and would just utilize the space available,” says Preston. “You would not have to worry about managing the space, just using it.”

To get started, you connect your accounts, and the app tells you how much storage you have available on each, and how much is already used in total. You can also choose to let CloudGOO decide which online destination to use for each upload, so it can optimize your drive space utilization, or you can specify where each file type should be stored on an individual basis.
A basic user interface lets you access your content from the app, by tapping on big icons for photos, music, videos, and documents. From there, you can view your files, quickly share them on other social services or email, or copy them over to another cloud storage account.
Support for offline access is also available, and you can configure the cache size the app should use.

The nice thing about this app is that it lets you easily take advantage of the free space online storage space cloud providers give away, in hopes of hooking you into becoming a paying user. For example, Google 
Drive gives you up to  15 GB for free these days, while Dropbox offers another 2  GB of free space to start.
But until now, it’s not been convenient to combine your accounts to maximize the free offerings Or else you have somehow managed to sign up for accounts with all the providers, and now have no idea where to go to find the files they’ve uploaded all over the web. Flutter- Control your PC without even touching it !


Flutter, quiet innovative software, acts as a very useful tool with Windows Media Player, iTunes, Netflix, PowerPoint, and a bunch of other daily used software.

The fact is that you can just simply control Windows Media Player or all other mentioned software using a hand gesture that is, without even touching the keyboard or mouse. The main thing is that you should have a webcam to use Flutter.

As a user of Flutter for the last few months, I personally recommend it. For me, it is really helpful for playing songs while I play games (NFS, GTA San Andrea) in my laptop. I don’t need to minimize the game window, just show my hand near the cam to play, pause, forward, previous the songs. It is also useful for presenting PowerPoints.
Google has taken over Flutter and had used its features in YouTube also. You can search for the chrome extension to enable this feature.
