The GIF (Graphic Interchange Format) image has been around
for more than a quarter of a century. But it could be replaced soon by the GYF
(GIF Format Yoker) File Format, which does everything the GIF does and more. It
is much smaller in size. It can be paused, rewound or sped up. It supports many
more color than GIF does. A 4 MB (Mega Byte) GIF can be shaved down to roughly
200 KB (Kilo Bytes) using GFY. This means that the GIF’s don’t chug as they
load, that you get the superior color reproduction of video, that your site
loads faster, and that you can see the content regardless of what browser you
are using. Oh, you can also make them bigger.
